Outline of the GRASS

Global Research Centre for Advanced Sustainability Science (GRASS) was established on April 1, 2023, to be reorganized from the Center for Far Eastern Studies (CFES).  GRASS is dedicated to addressing the pressing environmental and social challenges that our planet faces today. The interdisciplinary nature of GRASS allows for the integration of various fields of study, fostering a holistic approach to sustainability. Moreover, GRASS embraces a global perspective, acknowledging that sustainability is a universal concern that transcends geographical boundaries. The centre seeks to establish partnerships and collaborations with research institutions, organizations, and experts from around the world. This global network will facilitate the exchange of knowledge, expertise, and best practices, enabling GRASS to have a truly impactful and far-reaching presence.
