OUTLINE

The Graduate School of Science and Engineering for Research, University of Toyama started the tenure-track system as part of MEXT’s (Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology) 2012 Program for Dissemination of the Tenure Track System. The purpose of this system is to train motivated young researchers who will take on the challenge of interdisciplinary tasks, and give them an opportunity to conduct independent research. We will give them systematic training to enable them to become independent researchers with flexible ideas, not bound by stereotypes, and competitive internationally.
