The development of energy-sering high performance heat exchange systems
Improvement of efficiency and miniaturization of heat exchanger are necessary in relation to resources economy and energy-seving. Therefore when the technology of various heat transfer enhancement are used in the channel, it is important to investigate the characteristic of flowing and heat transfer and to evalute efficiency of heat exchanger. We consider systematic about heat transfer containing mass transfer and developed the efficient heat exchange system.

Transport phenomena in solidification process
In relation to the crystal growth which can't be missed for the manufacture of the electronic device, the elucidation of crystallizing process is necessary. In solidification of multicomponent solution, complicated phenomena which is called the double-diffusive convection appears because thermal and soltal conviction exist simultaneously. To elucidate its mechanism from viewpoint of transport phenomena we investigate both experimentally and numerically.

Natural convection
Natural convection surely occur when solid material is manufactured from a solution. Then the elucidation of heat and mass transfer under natural cnvection system is important because natural convection influence seriously the formation condition and nature of the material. We have performed both experiments and numerical analysis to investigation natural convection in a water layer with density inversion and double-diffusive convection containing both of thermal and solutal buoyancy.

Numerical transport phenomena
A new transport phenomena argument based on numerical analysis is being developed recently with the progress of the computer. The development of heat transfer enhancement technology due to the turbulence promoter and of thermal design technology in relation to natural convective cooling system for electronic equipments are done by using finite difference method (FDM) and finite element method (FEM).

Drying engineering
On drying operation the liquid contained in the materials usually contain plural elements. However almost previous investigations of drying were performed for the material containing single element. Drying of porous layer containing multicomponent solution and polymer solution containing plural solvents are investigated to educate its mechanism and to develop the method estimating the drying rate curve.
