Professor Yutaka Takaguchi delivered the plenary lecture “Molecularly Engineered Low-Dimensional Photocatalysts for Solar Fuel Production.” The talk introduced our laboratory’s approach to designing molecular interfaces for light-driven energy conversion.

Thi Linh Pham gave the oral presentation “Toward Full-Solar-Spectrum Water Splitting: A Robust SWCNT/WO₃ Z-Scheme Photocatalyst Pair Mediated by Iodide.” Her presentation focused on combining photocatalysts to expand the use of sunlight for water splitting.

We gathered to celebrate our graduating students and the completion of their degrees. Thank you for your contributions to the laboratory. We wish you every success as you begin the next chapter of your lives.
We held a farewell party for our graduating and completing students. We celebrate the achievements of the four graduates and wish them continued success and happiness in their next steps.
Mukai-san carried out experiments until the very end before his master's thesis presentation, so the talk was not perfect, but he opened a new path toward understanding magnetic-field effects in CNT photocatalytic reactions.
We wish Fujiwara-san continued success in all future endeavors.
In his final stage of research, Kanaji-san worked hard and opened a path toward NADH regeneration using a CNT photocatalyst.
Kitai-san (#1), a first-generation lab member, came to give this company information session. He has become very dependable, and it is wonderful to see.
At the 1000 Tesla Science Workshop held in Sendai, Gomado-san's poster presentation was selected for the Bronze Prize. The meal at this ryokan was excellent, and good news came one after another.
We took a group photo under the cherry blossoms to welcome the new members who joined our lab this spring. It’s a beautiful start to the new academic year with fresh faces and blooming flowers!
The cherry blossoms in the courtyard in front of our lab are in full bloom. A new academic year is about to begin, along with our next round of experiments.
We wish our graduates all the best as they begin their professional careers. May they find fulfillment and joy in their work—and above all, stay healthy.
The degree conferral ceremony was held on March 25. Congratulations to all our graduating students!
On March 21, a retirement celebration was held for faculty members of the School. Professor Tsukida from our department was among those who retired.
