2024 activity report

The 146^th annual meeting of The Japan Institute of Light Metals
On 10-12, May, We participated in 2024 annual spring (146^th) meeting of JILM. 14 presentations (including 3 doctor’s student and 11 master’s students) were presented, and in-depth discussion took place on the contents of the presentations during the conference.
Best Poster Award of the 146^th annual meeting of The Japan Institute of Light Metals
Abrar Ahmed and Takaki Yagi presented poster in 146^th annual meeting of JILM and received Best Poster Award.
Reiwa 6^th Yukawa Memorial Lecture of ISIJ in Hokuriku Shinetsu branch.
On 14 Jun, We participated in Reiwa 6^th Yukawa Memorial Lecture of ISIJ in Hokuriku Shinetsu branch. It was held on ANA crown plaza hotel.

On 20 June, We participated in Reiwa 6^th JILM Hokuriku Branch annual meeting at University of Toyama.
The 19^th International Conference on Aluminum Alloys(ICAA19)
On 24-27 Jun, We participated in the 19^th International Conference on Aluminum Alloys(ICAA19). It was held on Georgia Institute of Technology.

Master course student, Ms. Sanphiboon Wanlalak was awarded the best Poster at ICAA19, 23th – 27th June, 2024, in Atralta, USA
14^th Japanese-Polish joint seminar
On 3-6, September, We participated in 14^th Japanese-Polish joint Seminar for Micro-Nano Analysis. 2 PhD course and 9 master course students made presentations from Matsuda’s lab, and in-depth discussion took place on the contents of the presentations during the conference.

Master course student, Ms. Sanphiboon Wanlalak awarded the best Poster at 14^th Japanese-Polish joint seminar for Micro-Nano Analysis. This seminar was held at he Toyama International Conference Center, 3^rd – 6^th Sept., 2024.

On 2nd April, 6 bachelor 4th students and 1 master 1st students were assigned.
Open day of our University
Introduction of Faculty of Sustainable Design Introduction of Transmission electron Microscopy Introduction of our lab. On 3^rd August, Open day of University was held.
2024 Lab trip
BBQ @ Akeno Kogen Campsite Shogawa-sou hotel On 6-8 Aug., we traveled Akeno Kogen, Takayama and Shougawa.
Yumedaigaku ～Monozukuri festival～
On 9, Nov., Yumedaigaku ~Monozukuri festival~ was held. We held event for elementary school students and opened our laboratory.

The departmental social gathering
On February 18, The departmental social gathering was held after the master's and graduation thesis presentations.
Reiwa 6th degree conferral ceremony
On 25 March, Degree conferral ceremony was held. 14 students were able to graduate and complete from our laboratory.
