Welcome to Matsuda Lab.

Greeting from Professor

Professor KenjiMatsuda

The ideal of my laboratory is to become a top-class laboratory known worldwide and turn out outstanding students. As the motto, both students and faculty members continue to study and research day and night. We cover various research themes, mainly aluminum alloys. We deal with research that covers the lifespan from the fabrication of materials to recycling. Through doing research and acquiring skills, I put the premium on cultivating the ability to design the desirable life the students want to build themselves.

From micro (nano to submicron) to meso and macro

Nano scale, atomic level control Submicron scale, atomic assembly manufacturing

The material is strengthened by gathering the atoms inside. It decides where and what kind of atom exists, what kind of form it takes, and determines the mechanism of material strengthening.

By controlling the internal structure of the material on the order of nanometers, it is possible to exert unprecedented strength. It is realized by a processing method that was considered impossible in the past.

Meso scale, laboratory stage development Macro scale, development of practical products

A new material that is strong, can be processed, does not break, and does not deteriorate

Develop practical materials through joint research with companies. The material that has already become a product is on sale.
