Postdoctoral Fellowship in Particle Physics Phenomenology [sg-l 7156] Applications closed

Theoretical Physics Group in the University of Toyama has an opening for a postdoctoral associate starting in the fall of 2012 for at least two years in the area of High-Energy Particle Physics, especially related to the models of Electroweak Symmetry Breaking, Beyond the Standard Models, Collider Phenomenology (with simulation studies) and related subjects on Neutrinos, Dark Matter and Baryogenesis. This position is financially supported by Grant-in-Aid for Scientific Research (B), Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS).

Project Title: "Determination of the TeV scale new physics via the theoretical study of the Higgs physics and collider phenomenology"
Project Leader: Shinya Kanemura (University of Toyama)
Project Members: Mayumi Aoki (Kanazawa University) and Tetsuo Shindou (Kogakuin University)

Candidates should send their CV, including a list of publication and a brief description of research history and interests to

  • E-Mail: kanemu_at_sci.u-toyama.ac.jp (Shinya Kanemura)

with the email-title of "PD_Toyama" until the 27th, May 2012. They should also arrange for two reference letters to be sent to the same email address directly. Any question should also be addressed to the same email address.

In Theoretical Physics Group in University of Toyama, there are three faculty members (Prof. Takeshi Kurimoto, Prof. Shinya Kanemura, Prof. Mitsuru Kakizaki) and one postdoc (Dr. Hiroaki Sugiyama) and ten graduate students. They are involved in theoretical researches mainly in the area of particle physics, especially of particle phenomenolgy.
